Karakter Wirausaha sebagai Anteseden Efikasi Diri dan Intensi Berwirausaha pada Mahasiswa

Peran karakter kepribadian dalam keputusan seseorang untuk
berwirausaha termasuk topik utama dalam kajian psikologi
kewirausahaan. Keputusan dan performa wirausaha dapat diprediksi
oleh seberapa kuat peran karakter wirausaha. Penelitian ini
bertujuan menyelidiki peran karaker wirausaha pada efikasi diri
seseorang dalam berwirausaha dan intensi personal untuk
berwirausaha. Dihipotesiskan, ada hubungan yang signifikan antara
karakter wirausaha dengan efikasi diri dan intensi berwirausaha.
Sebanyak 255 orang mahasiswa di Magelang berpartisipasi dalam
penelitian ini. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tiga instrumen, yaitu
Skala Karakter Wirausaha, Skala Efikasi Diri Wirausaha, dan Skala
Intensi Wirausaha Personal. Diketahui bahwa karaker wirausaha
memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan efikasi diri dan intensi
wirausaha, dengan koefisien korelasi (r) masing-masing 0,255 dan
0,376 (p<0,01). Disimpulkan bahwa kontribusi faktor kepribadian
pada efikasi diri dan intensi berwirausaha tidak besar. Hal ini
mendukung temuan sebelumnya bahwa kewirausahaan seseorang
lebih banyak dibentuk oleh faktor-faktor kontekstual ketimbang
kepribadian. Direkomendasikan agar pendidikan kewirausahaan
untuk generasi muda menyeimbangkan antara pembentukan
karakter, penumbuhan efikasi diri berwirausaha, dan fasilitasi
lingkungan untuk berwirausaha.
