Analisis Fenomenologik Narasi Stres pada Wanita Jawa Muslim

Abstract

Wanita lebih rentan untuk mengalami depresi dan gangguan mental. Stres mempunyai hubungan signifikan dengan penyakit-penyakit degeneratif pada populasi lansia. Masih sedikit literatur yang mengungkap persepsi peristiwa kehidupan yang dinilai sebagai sumber stres, bagaimana dampak emosional, perilaku dan perubahan pada fisiologis tubuh serta bagaimana strategi koping yang digunakan pada komunitas wanita Jawa Muslim. Mendapatkan gambaran diskriptif mengenai pengalaman fenomenologik stresor, dampak bio-psiko-emosional dan strategi koping pada komunitas wanita Jawa Muslim. Sebanyak 30 wanita peserta pelatihan manajemen stres dengan sholat mengisi buku catatan harian stres. Peserta penelitian mencatat setiap adanya perubahan suasana hati terkait stres dalam lima waktu sholat wajib dan sunah dhuha, dalam periode waktu 8 minggu. Buku catatan dikumpulkan dan dianalisis dengan pendekatan teori stres yang relevan. Didapatkan 216 quote dan 516 peristiwa stresor yang mempengaruhi suasana hati. Stresor terbanyak adalah masalah anak di pagi hari. Respons emosional terbanyak tentang marah, respons perilaku terbanyak respons verbal (ngomel), dan respons fisiologis terbanyak adalah capek/lelah. Strategi koping kognitif spiritual terbanyak yang dilakukan adalah semeleh – pasrah. Sumber stresor, respons emosional, respons perilaku secara umum sama dengan yang disebut dalam buku teks, tetapi terdapat ekspresi kultural Jawa Muslim semeleh – pasrah sebagai strategi koping kognitif.
