EFEKTIVITAS LATIHAN CLOSED CHAIN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KESEIMBANGAN DEWASA MUDA

Abstract

Latar belakang: Keseimbangan merupakan komponen penting bagi segabagain besar ativitas manusia. Keseimbangan yang baik membuat seorang manusia akan mandiri, produktif serta proaktif. Keseimbangan akan mendukung  kegiatan sehari hari seperti pekerjaan rumah, memasak, berbelanja, latihan fisik dan bepergian. Komponen penting dalam mendukung keseimbangan yang adequate adalah kekuatan otot. Program latihan penguatan perlu diintegrasikan dalam program latihan keseimbangan Tujuan: Mengetahui efektivitas latihan closed chain untuk meningkatkan keseimbangan pada subjek dewasa muda sehat. Metode: Subjek penelitian berjumlah  orang dewasa muda berusia 20-21 tahun yang memiliki aktivitas sehari-hari sebagai mahasiswa aktif di universitas muhammadiyah surakarta. Subjek dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok intervensi (latihan closed chain) berjumlah 20 orang dan kelompok kontrol/balance training (single leg stance, squat exercise) berjumlah 20 orang. Hasil: Hasil analisis data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan spss 20.0 menunjukkan bahwa latihan closed kinetic terbukti efektif dalam meningkatan performa keseimbangan pada subjek dewasa muda (p=0,00) dibandingkan  dengan kelompok kontrol/ balance training (p=0,198) dan terdapat beda efektivitas antara latihan closed chain dengan balance training (p=0.00) dengan nilai mean pada kelompok latihan closed chain 4,1535 sedangkan pada kelompok balance training 0,1605. Kesimpulan: Latihan closed chain efektif dalam meningkatkan keseimbangan dewasa muda dan terdapat perbedaan efektivitas antara latihan close chain dengan balance training.
