Abstract

Latar Belakang: Manifestasi gejala osteoartritis mengurangi keinginan individu untuk melakukan aktivitas fisik berupa latihan secara teratur. Namun di lain pihak inaktivitas fisik mengancam pada penurunan kebugaran secara umum, salah satunya adalah kebugaran kardiorespirasi yang merupakan komponen paling penting dalam kebugaran jasmani seseorang untuk optimalisasi aktivitas sehari-hari dalam jangka waktu yang cukup lama tanpa mengalami kelelahan yang berarti. Tujuan Penelitian: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui profil kebugaran kardiorespirasi pada penderita osteoartritis lutut di RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. Metode Penelitian: Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif observasional. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 23 orang berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditentukan yang diambil dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Variabel terikat pada studi ini adalah kebugaran kardiorespirasi yang diukur dengan menggunakan instrumen 6 minute walking test yang di interpretasikan berdasarkan usia dan jenis kelamin. Studi ini telah memenuhi standar etik penelitian oleh Fakultas Kedokteran UMS. Hasil dan Kesimpulan: Hasil penelitian ini dengan menggunakan pengukuran six minute walking test (6MWT) didapatkan hasil bahwa profil kebugaran kardiorespirasi pada penderita osteoartritis lutut di RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta dalam kategori “kurang” dengan rata- rata hasil kebugaran kardiorespirasi pada wanita 8,581 ml/kg/min dan rata – rata hasil kebugaran kardiorespirasi pria 10,371 ml/kg/min.
